Morgan Starkey
Morgan Starkey had a tremendous senior year on the softball field for the Vikings. The slick-fielding senior shortstop had a team high .323 batting average, stole ten bases, and led the Vikings team in on base percentage, RBIs, and hits.
Starkey’s great on-field play was noted by area coaches who selected the All-Conference team. And this year, when the voting was done, Starkey was named to the Polar League Big School All-Conference team. In addition, Starkey was the only Viking named to the 2022 all-conference squad this year. Starkey was also named to the Polar League All-Conference team in volleyball, becoming one of few Viking players to ever surpass 1,000 digs in her career.
Morgan is going to Lake Superior college, where she is undecided in her major.
