Sr. Babe Ruth CC/SB loses tough game to Ely

After the first inning of play, Ely and the Cook County/Silver Bay Babe Ruth team were tied 1-1.

The game was played at home at the Arleigh Jorgenson field on Friday, June 26.

After a long break from pitching, Andrew Miller took the mound and went two innings, giving up one run on two hits while striking out five and walking one.

Riley Tiboni took the loss for the CC/SB Babe Ruth team. Riley gave up four runs on six hits over four innings. He struck out three and didn’t walk a batter.

Ely broke the contest open in the sixth inning when they scored four runs in the sixth inning. Two runs scored on a fielder’s choice. The Ely pitcher, wearing jersey number 13, allowed two hits, one run and struck out four over seven innings.

Joe Deschampe and Isaiah Deschampe each had one hit for the CC/SB Babe Ruth team.

Ely hitters amassed nine hits in the contest.
