OK, this is rich for Sunday, November 9, the second day of deer hunting season. Here’s a little early winter blahs humor. As my husband and I were heading out of Grand Marais later this afternoon a really nice buck crossed the highway over to the lot right across the street from Steve’s Sports.
I wondered if he’d stopped at Subway for a nice salad or IGA for some grub. However, IGA is closed now on Sunday.
So, maybe he’d been to the Laundromat freshening up his winter coat.
Or…. maybe he’d been checking out the snow machines in the lot at Steve’s Sports in the hopes of keeping ahead of the local Grand Marais wolf population this winter.
Maybe he just gleefully knows where to hang out during “bucks only” hunting season. Speculation mounts…
And that’s the news from Lake Snow-be-Gone on the shore of the Big Lake in the state of northern MiniSnowta.
