Spirit of the Wilderness Episcopal Church will hold its tenth annual community art show at North Shore Health, opening on Feb. 21. There are many wonderful spaces for hanging work, and congregation member Howard Hedstrom is making pedestals for 3D work.
This year’s theme is Kintsugi, which is the Japanese art of repairing pottery by mending areas of breakage with precious metals, making the work more beautiful and more intriguing for having been broken. This theme seems

appropriate to the setting at North Shore Health.
Members of the community are invited to consider these themes of brokenness, healing and meaning through their chosen medium.
Each artist must provide titles, a price list, a brief artist statement, and contact information when they drop off their work on Feb. 17 and 18. Any sales of work will be direct with the individual artist; neither Spirit of the Wilderness Episcopal Church or North Shore Health are participating in the sale.
