Special history program Sept. 27 at Trinity Lutheran Church





Trinity Lutheran Church will be celebrating some of its history after the Sunday worship service on September 27 with a home-movie featuring some historic Hovland sites and the start of construction of the church.

Trinity Lutheran Church will be celebrating some of its history after the Sunday worship service on September 27 with a home-movie featuring some historic Hovland sites and the start of construction of the church.

A special program exploring the history and development of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hovland will be presented following 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship service Sept. 27.

History, Mission, and More will start with a 1948 home-movie showing many Hovland sites and the start of construction at Trinity.

“We’ll explore history through conversation with many residents,” said Pastor Kris Garey. “We’ll have conversation about some of the unique ministries of this ‘small Hovland church’ and look ahead as we give praise and thanksgiving to God as we learn from our history and tell our story.”

There will also be a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, egg dishes and fruit. Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 4957 E. Highway 61. For more information call (218) 475-2439.
