The Youth Ski League is sponsoring a spaghetti feed fundraiser on Feb. 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Cook County Community Center. Youth Ski League is a North Superior Ski and Run Club program that engages children (K-6) in the life-long sport of cross-country skiing through games, activities, and trail skiing.
According to Mike Crook, Youth Ski League coordinator, “This is our one fundraiser for the program and community support helps keep the program affordable for all families.” Over the last five years, the program has grown steadily and now serves 50-60 kids.
The pasta is being provided by Lutsen Resort this year and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. There will be something for everyone including penne bolognese (beef and mushrooms in red sauce), penne primavera (veggies and red sauce) and gluten free pasta. The pasta feed is a chance to fuel up and check out the competition before the 31th annual Sawtooth International Ski Race on Feb. 15 at Pincushion Ski Trails.
