First off, there is nothing wrong with fair-minded American citizens getting together and looking at improvements to their respective communities by way of a 1% sales and use tax. My problem with the whole debacle is as I look through the ballot, I only see two questions to vote on.
Wouldn’t you want a true consensus on the individual projects? Seems to me, all the projects are lumped into two questions. So if you agree on one project, and disagree on another, you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Can You Say PORK, Anyone?
This is big government tactics in a small community, and looks to me like it’s spilling over from the top. Thistype of sneaky political policy has got to stop! This community and the country for that matter cannot afford the wasteful spending that comes with some of the projects just thrown in along with some that are legitimate to get them passed.
Sadly I have to vote no to everything in this ballot due to the reasons explained above.
