Softball team loses to Esko

The Esko Eskimos came out with hot bats and put up four runs in the first inning against the Vikings in a game played at home last week.

Esko used a double by K. Adkins and a single by L. Hanson in the first inning to get things rolling.

A big eight run second inning all but sealed the deal for the Eskimos.

Meanwhile the Vikings had a tough time getting their offense going. A single by Alie Duclos in the fifth was all the Vikings could muster in this game, and the Vikings lost 21-0.

Katie Peck started on the mound for the Vikings. Katie lasted two innings, allowing seven hits and 12 runs. Rachael Dorr came in from the bullpen and pitched three innings.

Esko ended with nine hits, both Hanson and Adkins led the Eskimos with multiple hits.

The Vikings walked twice while Esko collected 21 walks. Esko didn’t commit any errors while the Vikings had four. Esko pitchers struck out 12 Vikings while the Vikings didn’t record a strikeout.
