The KidsPlus Easter Egg Fundraiser was a lot of fun, despite the approximately 4 inches of snow that fell the night before. The 5K run/walk was cancelled, but the egg hunting, inflatable fun, cake raffle, photos with the Easter Bunny and refreshments went on.

Toddlers had an indoor egg hunt in the iceless curling rink arena—right next to the very popular “Bounce House.”

Older kids had to face the snow, but none seemed to mind. They raced around the little league field in search of colorful plastic eggs nestled in the freshly fallen snow.

There was a delicious luncheon and a wonderful assortment of cakes on the silent auction, donated by supporters of KidsPlus. The cake contest winners were a beautiful edible Easter basket and a bright orange carrot-shaped cake by Courtney and Shauna Blake and a Funfetti Bunny Cake (compete with a marshmallow tail!) by Virginia Palmer. Courtney and Shauna won first and second prize and received a free KidsPlus card and $10, which they donated back to KidsPlus. Virginia won $5 cash for her bunny cake. The real winners were the folks who won the cakes and silent auction and got to take them home!
