Snow be darned, the Grand Marais Garden Club will meet soon

While it may not look like spring just yet, the Garden Club is already planning for a wonderful year of growing together! Our first meeting will take place Monday, April 10th at 10 a.m. We meet at St. John’s Catholic Church, 10 5th St, in the lower-level meeting room. There is ample parking just outside the door, as well as on-street parking and parking in the church’s upper lot. Anyone with an interest in gardening is welcome to join us, whether you live in the area or are just visiting. Annual membership dues are only $10, so if you think you might be interested, stop by, spend some time with us, and see how much fun we have together! We look forward to meeting you!

At our first meeting, Gan Messenbring will be doing a presentation on the history of the Grand Marais Garden Club. Throughout the season, we will also have garden tours, make and takes, luncheons, and numerous educational opportunities about various gardening related topics. In addition, the Garden Club is responsible for planting the beautiful flowers in the town’s planters, as well as maintaining the lovely rose garden! And we also have our not-to-be-missed annual Flower Show! Sound like something you’d enjoy? Then come and join us, your fellow Grand Marais gardeners!
