Members of the Norpine Ski Club invite everyone to take part in the Norpine “Lopper.” It’s a fun way to help keep our local cross country ski trails great—ski with a Lopper, rather than skiing a Loppet!
Join other skiers on the Norpine Trail System on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Meet at Cascade Lodge at 10 a.m., with any lopper or nipper you may own, and of course your skis! Norpine member Jerry Lilja explained, “We’ll ski out to Deeryard, and other trails, clipping ‘face slappers’ along the way.”
After the ski, participants are invited to warm up with hot chocolate, cookies and social time at Cascade Lodge. “No cost, just a little bit of your time. We anticipate everything will be completed by 2 p.m.,” said Lilja.
The Norpine Trail System is a local organization that maintains 58km of XC ski trails from Cascade State Park to Lutsen Mountain. For more information or to join, visit Norpine website at norpinetrails.org.
