Generous Applause!
I viewed the Y project with skepticism, but after visiting went away full of wonder at this extraordinary accomplishment.
The well-lit pool was closed, but is obviously larger with no chlorine odor. The two exercise rooms, both of which were in use, contain the most up-todate equipment I’ve seen. The printed program promises kettlebell, now high on my list.
The refurbished gym is a gem of airy lightness where the young were playing a scratch game while oldsters walked the indoor track.
The banquet and wedding function was eliminated without loss from the plan.
Down the bright streamlined hall of muted color are the three locker rooms. I viewed one, which I found of friendly but adequate size. It had chairs, which I wasn’t expecting. Aside from a sole wet area in a place I’d anticipate one I did not see a problem with the floors. Tile over concrete is solid, attractive, and traditional.
I’d gladly join those of right-mind who praise the facility as a community asset, but the dictionary balks me. Rather, I acclaim using classic form to call this achievement: Thermae Marais Maximus. Long may it serve to inspire.
