Skating rinks are now open

The outdoor ice rinks officially opened on Thursday, December 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Coordinators are needed for the following three programs:

Youth broomball for middle and high school students is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evenings at the outdoor hockey rink; adult boot hockey has a Tuesday slot available from 7 to 9 p.m. at the outdoor rink; and adult pick-up hockey is scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at the outdoor hockey rink. If you are available to be a coordinator for any or all of these, please call Diane Booth at 387-3015.

The small outdoor skating rink is always available for open skating. Skating is allowed when the warming house is not open. If you would like to have the warming house open, ask at the Community Center.

The hockey rink may be used for skating when it is not reserved for a group.

Skate rentals are $1.

For open skating times with a warming house attendant available, please check the Cook County website www.co.cook.mn.us.
