Singleton Bissell featured at Schroeder Area Historical Society annual meeting





 

 

Another event to celebrate the season opening of the 2011 Cross River Heritage Center in Schroeder will take place on June 12 as Schroeder author Beryl Singleton Bissell visits to talk about her new book, A View of the Lake.

On Sunday, June 12 at 1 p.m. the Schroeder Area Historical Society will feature Singleton Bissel at its anual meeting. Bissell’s new book is a memoir about moving to a small town on the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Other events for the season will include the seventh Lundie/Vacation Home Tour on July 16, a wine and beer tasting on Sept. 22 and a drawing for the Hawaiian Fantasy Quilt Nov. 19. The hours for the Cross River Heritage Center are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday 1 to 4 p.m.; and closed on Monday.
