The squirt hockey team in Silver Bay started off the 2009-2010 season with a 2-0 win on Saturday, November 21 against Ashland, WI.
On Sunday, November 22 they played Hermantown and tied the game 2-2.
This year’s squirt team welcomes a couple Cook County Mite 2 players— Andrew Miller and Cameron Roy, who will play for Silver Bay when their Cook County Mite 2 games or jamborees don’t interfere. Jake Bilben and Riley Somnis of Cook County will also skate with the Squirts this year.
They join teammates Chase Jasperson, Giovanni Marolt, Gunnar Frahm, Ian Wallin, Jarred LeBerge, Nick Perfetto, Peyton Westerlund, Tanner Ketola, and Thomas Rowlee. Their first tournament was in Proctor December 4 – 6, followed by a tournament at Silver Bay on December 12 and 13.
