Southwest Minnesota State University has announced its 2014 fall dean’s list. Sara Silence of Grand Marais is among the students being recognized.
Dean Betsy Desy of the College of Arts, Letters and Sciences said, “You should be proud of this achievement. It forecasts successful completion of the degree that you are seeking. Needless to say, your excellent performance can only enhance the value of your degree.
We wish you the very best for continued success.”
Silence is seeking her Bachelor of Science in early childhood education and a birth to third grade teaching endorsement.
Silence graduated from Cook County High School in 1999. She graduated from Pine Technical College in May 2011, earning an associate’s degree in early childhood development. She is currently employed at Birch Grove Community School as a paraprofessional and Community Education director.
