Shooter training a necessity

In today’s world training is the key to success or in some cases survival.

I remember when I was in grade school we had training on what to do in case of a nuclear bombing. Today in schools, it’s lockdown in case of a shooter.

All public places and employees need to be trained in case of an attack. I commend Cook County’s law enforcement for giving people a real sense of what a shooter situation could be and how to respond.

In response to Nevin D. Holmberg’s tonguein cheek comments stating terrorists and potential shooters aren’t allowed to bring guns into those places because a sign at the door says no guns, that made me shiver. These people are not going to stop at their intended mission because of a sign! Cook County’s unfortunate shooting at the court house is proof of that.

People need to know what to do and have a plan in case the need arises. Keep the training up and as realistic as possible.
