Cook County Sheriff’s Office Administrative Assistant Melissa Rexrode recently received recognition from the Professional Law Enforcement Assistants Association (PLEAA). She received Honorable Mention in the “Excellence in Service” category.
Sheriff Pat Eliasen said, “We nominated Melissa for this award due to her hard work, attention to detail, willingness to work with other agencies and diligence when it comes to very sensitive matters.
“She is a tremendous asset to the Sheriff’s Office and we would be in a very bad way without her. Her performance is second to none and it’s truly a pleasure to have her here. Not only for her strong work ethic and outstanding job performance, but her friendly attitude towards everyone,” said Sheriff Eliasen.
According to the PLEAA website, the organization’s goal is to “provide relevant law enforcement training, a strong networking system, and more uniformity in services to enable members to provide enhanced assistance to chief law enforcement officers and member departments, which ultimately benefits the communities they serve.”
