All are invited to participate and to “Share Your Story” on the new Cook County Historical Society website.
Periodically topics are chosen and residents are invited to make history by telling stories they remember. Current topics are buildings in Cook County that have been moved from one place to another; and stories of the Sawtooth Mountain Ski Hill that was once in Grand Marais.
Museum Director Carrie McHugh said, “Thanks to the good folks at Internet provider Boreal Access, it is easy to take an active part in adding to the historical record online.”

McHugh encouraged everyone to join in to support the work of the Cook County Historical Society, whose mission is to collect, preserve and share local history. “Join now and your membership is good through March 2015,” she said.
