A garden party was held at North Shore Health Serenity Garden on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Over 100 garden donors and volunteers were invited to celebrate the transformation of this special courtyard located between the Hospital and Care Center in Grand Marais, Minnesota.

Serenity Garden Committee members welcomed 50 guests who gathered on a sunny afternoon to enjoy the new garden with native plants, trees, and the memorial paver bricks.

Kimber Wraalstad, NSC Administrator thanked the donors, volunteers, and SG Committee for their hard work that made this three-year project come to fruition. Mary Sanders, Nancy Koloski, and Monica Anderson also talked about the story of the garden. Other committee members include Gerry Grant, designers Michelle Lewis, Marilyn Morris, and Kay Rosenthal.

Phase One construction began in 2020 and Phase Two was in 2021. A “Grand Opening” dedication will happen at a future CoVid-safe event when additional installations are completed.
