If you have a failing septic system that is in need of repair, the Cook County Soil & Water Conservation District may be able to assist you with a subsurface sewage treatment system (SSTS) loan, funded by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s AgBMP Loan Program.
Soil & Water and Cook County Environmental Health can help landowners identify problems and find solutions to water quality issues related to failing sewage treatment systems. And Soil & Water can assist landowners in applying for low interest loans to address local water quality and pollution problems.
Since the program began in 1990, Cook County has provided $750,293 in loans to 55 local landowners.
