Two annual music events will once again “rock” the North Shore this month.

WTIP’s Radio Waves Music Festival will take place Sept. 9-11 at the Grand Marais Rec Park. In addition to lots of music, the outdoor venue will feature food, children’s activities, and camping.

For scheduled play times and a list of the performers, contact WTIP North Shore Community Radio at (218) 387-9762 or visit www.wtip.org.

The following weekend, North House Folk School will host “Unplugged XV,” a fall gathering that was launched in 2002 by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jon Vezner.

The weeklong event includes two nights of live music with nationally recognized musicians, a folk artisan marketplace with hands-on courses and mini workshops, a private “Backstage Bash” fundraising gala, and the Points North Online Auction.

For tickets or more information about “Unplugged” visit: www.northhouse.org/programs/events/unplugged.htm or call (888) 387-9762.
