Senior Legion CC/SB Vikings victorious over South Ridge Senior Legion



With Kole Anderson on the mound and the Viking’s offense in high gear, the Cook County/Silver Bay Senior Legion baseball team defeated South Ridge 13-3 in a game played at home on Friday, June 24.

Lucas Stadler got things started with a first inning home run on an 0-1 count, scoring two runs with his blast.

The Vikings scored four in the third, three in the fourth and four runs in the fifth while holding South Ridge to one run in the second and two runs in the fourth. The game ended after five innings because of the ten-run rule.

Taking the win on the mound was Kole Anderson. Anderson gave up two hits, struck out four and allowed three runs.

Wyatt O was the losing pitcher. Wyatt gave up five hits, six runs, and struck out four over three innings.

Lucas Stadler was two for two with two RBIs. Amos Falter and Tate Crawford each had two hits and two RBIs. Jacob Carpenter, Hunter Gomez and Patrick Pierre each had one hit in the game. Patrick Pierre also had a walk and two RBIs.

In all, The Vikings ended with nine hits while South Ridge batters were limited to two hits. The Vikings walked seven times and South Ridge batters walked eight times. South Ridge committed three errors while the Vikings committed one fielding error.
