The folks at the Cook County Senior Center were very busy leading up to Labor Day weekend, preparing for a huge fundraiser rummage sale. Thank you to everyone that donated and helped with our fundraiser rummage sale over Labor Day weekend. The generous donations from so many generous people in our community helped us raise almost $700 for the Senior Center. Thank you.
The Senior Center helped Doris Kreitlow celebrate her 95th birthday in August with a cake, refreshments and a bit of singing.
We had a wonderful trip August 14 to the Chik Wauk Lodge Museum. I hadn’t been there since I was a kid. What a wonderful and very interesting place. A true treasure of our local history. Seniors then traveled to Trail Center Lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch.
