Senior Babe Ruth loses to Esko



Esko erupted for nine runs in the third inning to blow the game wide open against the Cook County/ Silver Bay Sr. Babe Ruth team on Tuesday, July 28 in a game played here on the Arleigh Jorgenson baseball field.

Former Cook County Viking Noah Furcht wielded the biggest bat for Esko. Noah tripled, doubled and singled in his four appearances at the plate and drove in three runs. All told Esko ended with 14 hits and won 15-1 in five innings.

Ero Wallin was the only CC/SB player to get a hit in the game.

Andrew Miller took the loss for CC/SB. Andrew pitched three innings, giving up nine hits and 11 runs while striking out four and walking one. Jacob Dorr relieved Miller and gave up five hits and four runs over two innings. He struck out two Esko batters and didn’t give up a walk.

James LeGarde was the winning pitcher. LeGarde gave up one hit and one run over four innings. He struck out four and didn’t give up a walk.

CC/SB Sr. Babe Ruth plays one more game before the playoffs start. Game location and opponents aren’t known at this time, but the season will continue for a while longer.
