As part of Minnesota’s Hockey Day celebration, the Birch Grove Community Center ice rink in Tofte will be the site of a fast-paced fun-filled pick-up hockey game from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21.
Following the pick-up game, the rink and warming house will be open until 10 p.m. with the outside lights on so people can continue to skate and play.
If you don’t have skates, there are plenty of skates and hockey sticks in the storage shed to borrow, free of charge.
If you are a hockey fan, come and watch. If you just love to play and your skills are rusty, come and shake off the rust and dust off your stick to join the action. A good sense of humor is a must.
