The second annual Cook County Earth Day fair will be held Saturday April 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.at the Cook County Community Center.
Hosted by Cook County and the Cook County Local Energy Project (CCLEP), this event is free and open to the public.
There will be live music featuring Ben Nichols, Dre aka Jamaican, and GES rappers.
In addition, there will be speakers, booths, games, activities and a story hour.
Tea coffee and water will be provided, and food vendors will be on hand if you wish to purchase food.
Please bring your own travel mug eating utensils and containers for food and beverages so the event organizers can avoid using single serving products and promote sustainable practices at this event.
This is a zero-waste event which means the goal is to have at least 90 percent of the waste generated before, during, and after the event be diverted from the landfill.
