A reminder to all Wheel of Fortune fans, Cook County High School graduate Ahna Schulte will appear as a game contestant on the Thursday, May 12 episode that starts at 6:30 p.m. and airs on KBJR, channel 6.

Schulte was picked from more than 1,000 people who tried out for the show in Denver, where she is an elementary school teacher.

For those who have never watched Wheel of Fortune, contestants guess hidden phrases by selecting letters one at a time. They win money or prizes, as determined by the wheel they spin, for each correct consonant they guess. Contestants have to pay to purchase vowels, and the person who guesses the most correct answers wins the game.

Ahna is the daughter of Craig and Lynn Schulte, Grand Marais.

Although the show was taped months ago, Ahna isn’t allowed to divulge to anyone how she did. That answer will come, she said, when people watch the show.
