Longtime Schroeder resident Rick Anderson has resigned from the Schroeder township board because he and his wife have moved to the Two Harbors area.
“When we decided to move we realized we didn’t want to leave the North Shore,” he said in a phone call to the newspaper.
Rick was elected to the township board in 2017 and then renewed his term this year. Among other things, through his work as a supervisor Rick has been instrumental in seeing that the township roads have been upgraded.
In the last year Rick and Peggy sold Temperance Traders Liquors and Gift Shop and Temperance Traders Cabins which are located in Schroeder.
The Schroeder Township board is looking for a person to fill Rick’s spot as an interim supervisor replacement through March 2021.
Candidates can sign up in January 2021 if they would like to run for a township supervisor position. For more information please contact Schroeder Township Clerk Anna Green at: <alillieg1410@gmail.com.
