With declining revenue and results of the upcoming local levy referendum uncertain, donations to the school district are a welcome blessing, superintendent Beth Schwarz said to the school board at its Oct. 13 meeting.
And gifts this month were abundant, noted Schwarz.
Arrowhead Electric gave $3,000 to the mobile computer lab and also kicked in another $500 for the Knowledge Bowl teams.
Cook County Schools Education Foundation donated $950 for the Spanish Interactive Website, and the Ham Lake Half Marathon sent $500 to the Fitness Center.
Northland Foundation gave $2,500 to the Childcare Provider Outreach program, and Kids Plus kicked in $500 to the Youth Halloween event.
Library Friends donated $4,500 for library materials and once again, Lyle Gerard gave $100. Gerard gives the district $100 every month.
