School and county need more money?

How can County Administrator Jeff Cadwell let this increase of over 19 percent in county health insurance premiums sneak up on him? With his vast experience in city and county administration, this should not happen.

The county commissioners were “shaken” by this apparent recent revelation of over $300,000 increase in premiums.

Also, why does it take months to research different companies when, with a computer and phone, I was able to do that in a couple of days. There is either incompetence or some kind of trickery going on here.

The county board is in the process of raising all of our property taxes by, from what has been said, 19.1 percent.

Then the school board wants a huge levy (tax) increase of at least $100 per $100,000 of home value. It also wants a bonding (tax) of huge proportions per year for the next many years.

Where is the outrage from the regular taxpayers that the school and county board is trying to stick it to us? With declining enrollment the school needs more money? With the county population not increasing the county needs more money?
