Dr. Catherine Hansen
Sawtooth Mountain Clinic is pleased to introduce new family practice physician, Dr. Catherine Hansen. Hansen joined the team of dedicated providers in September 2018.
Originally from Marshall, Minn., Hansen is a graduate of UMN Medical School. She completed her residency at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minn.
When asked what drew her to the North Shore, Hansen said, “I love this place. I wanted to be here now, not in retirement.” She was excited to find that Sawtooth Mountain Clinic was looking for a family practice physician. “SMC has created a medical community I want to be a part of. This small, private practice takes good care of its patients. I feel lucky to join a team that puts their patients first. I am really happy to be here.”
Hansen’s professional interests include full spectrum family medicine, women’s health, mental health, and addiction medicine.
In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her terrier, Luna, ceramic arts and traveling. She spent an extra year of medical school in Peru and Guatemala, serving in rural Public Health clinics and learning Spanish. She has also lived in Japan.
