Santa’s Workshop this Saturday

Cook County Girl Scouts have been working hard to prepare items for sale at Santa’s workshop. The annual event has moved to the Cook County Community Center this year from the basement of the Congregational Church where it has long been held. No reason was given for the move but there is a lot more room for a sleigh pulled by eight reindeer to land at the Community Center. Just saying… File photo

It’s no laughing matter (Ho, Ho, Ho!), Santa is coming to Grand Marais a wee bit early this year to be at the Santa’s Workshop which is hosted by the Cook County Girl Scouts at a new location.

This year the Saturday, December 1 workshop will be located at the Cook County Community Center and not at the Congregational Church basement. If you see Santa wandering around town early Saturday, looking lost, point him and his sleigh towards the Community Center.

Once again there will be a shopping area for children only, a pancake breakfast, lunch featuring chili, a bake sale, and a Girl-Scout-Made crafts for sale.

The sale will be open from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Come to shop. Come to visit with your friends and neighbors. Come to have your children’s picture taken with Santa Claus!
