Sande named to St. Thomas dean’s list

The University of St. Thomas has announced its spring 2011 dean’s list. Tait Sande of Grand Marais has been recognized.

According to Michael C. Jordan, Ph.D. Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Studies and Academic Advisement, to be on the dean’s honor list at St. Thomas, a student needs to attain a grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the end of a semester in which he or she has taken at least 12 credits for regular grades.

Tait is the son of Steve and Nancy Sande of Grand Marais. He is a 2008 graduate of Cook County High School.

St. Thomas, founded in 1885, is a Catholic, independent, liberal arts university. With a coeducational student body numbering nearly 11,000, it is Minnesota’s largest independent college or university. Nearly 1,900 of the university’s undergraduates were named to the spring semester Dean’s List.
