Ruthanne Hedstrom Vos, who grew up in Grand Marais, recently returned from a summer abroad as part of the William Mitchell College of Law “Mitchell in London” program.
TheMitchell in London program provided students from Mitchell and other law schools around the country with an unprecedented opportunity to learn about critical global issues from leading practitioners and academics in one of the world’s leading centers of business, trade, government and research.
Vos studied legal theory and honed her litigating skills at Brierley Price Prior (BPP) Law School, Europe’s leading provider of professional education. She is entering her second year at William Mitchell, located in St. Paul, MN.
In addition to participating in courses based on real-life situations, students explored Europe and participated in a National Security Forum with Minnesota Public Radio called Terrorism and the Law: A transatlantic debate.
“The students worked hard and played hard,” said Professor John Sonsteng, director of Mitchell’s international programs. “It was an exceptional experience for everyone involved.”
