Since the Cook County Vikings have advanced in the playoffs and they are hosting the first game on Tuesday, October 13 at Cook County High School—on the same day as the Ruby’s Pantry distribution—the organization is temporarily relocating its distribution site. For one month only, the Ruby’s Pantry food distribution site will be at the Cook County Senior Center at 10 North Broadway in Grand Marais.
Registration and waiting will be inside the Senior Center. The food distribution line will be set up just outside the building. Ruby’s Pantry spokesperson Barb Spaulding said, “Pray for good weather!”
Distribution runs from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. on October 13.
Spaulding said, “This is a small inconvenience for us at Ruby’s for the huge accomplishment of the Vikings making it to the playoffs! Many thanks to all of our volunteers for rising to the challenge, no matter what it takes. Hope to see you all on Tuesday!”
Next month Ruby’s Pantry will be back at its usual location at CCHS on the second Tuesday from 5 – 6:30 p.m.
