Rosemary Goble, age 97, passed away Sept. 18, 2016, at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, Minnesota.
Rosemary was born on July 12, 1919 on a farm in Stearns County to parents Joseph and Anna Hennen. She spent most of her life in Cook County, Minnesota and loved the North Shore.
Her compassion and love for people led her to the occupation of being a nurse later in life. It is hard to say goodbye to such a kind, caring, fun-loving woman. She had a life well lived.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Lloyd Goble; son John Goble; foster son Dwight Anderson; sonin law Jerry Esty; brothers Richard and Oswald Hennen and sisters Ida Schriefels.
She is survived by her children, James Goble (Sharon), Judy Esty, Janie Voltin (Gary), daughter-in-law Kathy Anderson; sisters Marguerite Flanders, Dorothy Brixius, Alice Scheirl, Katy Krammer; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 566 4th Street NW Elk River, Minnesota on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 12:30 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Grand Marais.
