Rose Thompson earns college degree




Rose Thompson, a 2007 graduate of Cook County High School, graduated from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Wash., on May 15, 2011. Thompson majored in English and minored in Spanish.

She is the daughter of Raia Meltzer of Hovland.

While a student at Puget Sound, Thompson participated in The Trail student newspaper as news editor. She will be moving to Santiago, Chile this summer for an editorial and reporting internship with The Santiago Times.

Founded in 1888, the University of Puget Sound is a 2,600-student, independent, national liberal arts college.
