Rosalind (Rosie) Lillian Somnis, age 90, passed peacefully on July 23, 2021. She was born August 18, 1930, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. In 1950, Rosie married Thomas (Tom) Somnis Sr. Together they had five children – Tom Jr., Julie, Nancy, Sharon, David, and three generations of grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Tom and daughter Julie. She was well known in the community for Rosie’s Café at Lutsen Mountains. Generations of skiers enjoyed her cooking and hospitality for 50 years. A Celebration of Life will be at Tofte Town Park Pavilion on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A few family members and friends will share memories at 11:30 a.m. A light lunch will be provided. All are welcome to bring a potluck dish to share.
