Road clearing is necessary

Regarding the March 3 article Commissioner questions Chicago Bay rightof way trimming about the complaints about the road brusher clearing the side of the road.

I drove around and looked and wasn’t offended. It is a road after all. The snowplow and emergency vehicles need to get around it.

Go look, many of the big trees are actually growing out in the roadway ditch and should have been cut a long time ago.

As I see it, complaints are out of line. Either you have a county road that is maintained or you maintain and plow your own walkway. Of course, there is the option people get out and trim their own trees bordering their property lines. Think about it.

The road I live on was also brushed with the machine recently and I didn’t hear one complaint.
