RidgeRiders see record crowd at Hungry Jack snowmobile drags





The weather was wonderful at the Hungry Jack snowmobile drag races. It was warm enough for Greg Gresczyk to race in jeans and sneakers! Gresczyk finished well, taking second in the Open Class division.

The weather was wonderful at the Hungry Jack snowmobile drag races. It was warm enough for Greg Gresczyk to race in jeans and sneakers! Gresczyk finished well, taking second in the Open Class division.

Although there were only 14 racers, there were hundreds of racing fans on Hungry Jack Lake on Saturday, February 18. Hungry Jack Lodge was packed and the American Legion Sons had a lot of business at their burger stand. Everyone enjoyed the day out on the snow with friends and family at the Cook County RidgeRiders Hungry Jack Snowmobile Drag Races.

The next event for the club is Carbine’s Fish Fry on Saturday, March 3. Conditions permitting, the ride to Carbine’s on McFarland Lake will begin at Devil Track General Store at 10 a.m. Members of the Grand Portage Trail Riders will also ride to McFarland for a fun community celebration— with Carbine’s famous fishcakes!

Another snowmobile drag race will be held on Saturday, March 17. Head up to Windigo Lodge for the Poplar Lake Drag Races. Sign up at 11 a.m. Racing starts at noon. Prizes awarded in Lodge after races.
