Politicians took an oath when sworn in to uphold the Constitution. The roving wiretap, authorized by a provision of the freedomkilling Patriot Act, is expressly forbidden by the Constitution. It is illegal search and seizure, plain and simple.
The extension of three questionable provisions of the Patriot Act failed to pass the required 2/3 majority of the House last week. Somehow the Republicans were able to bring it to a vote again Monday night, with little discussion. It needed only a simple majority to pass, which it did.
The Republicans supposedly want to make government smaller, but apparently lied. I’m calling them on their duplicity and would like to know why we can’t impeach Rep. Chip Cravaack for breaking his sworn oath.
