Minneapolis native Reina del Cid and her band are heading out on tour to promote the release of their new album The Cooling, and will be performing at The Gun Flint Tavern at 8 p.m. June 5.
Reina Del Cid is often compared to artists like Regina Spektor and Ingrid Michaelson yet her lyrics display a flexibility of language more aptly reminiscent of writers Virginia Woolf or Sylvia Plath. Reina’s smart lyrics and convincing melodies are wonderfully complemented by her talented band to form an engaging brand of pop-rock. Admission is free.
