The University of Minnesota Extension will host a gathering for local farmers and agricultural producers who are operating in Cook County or the surrounding North Shore region to network and learn from each other on February 17th in Grand Marais.
The meet-up will take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Cook County Community Center at 317 W 5th St, Grand Marais. The event is free, with the option to order a catered lunch for $15. Lunches can be ordered during registration and paid for on the day of the event. The deadline to register if you’d like to order a lunch is February 13th.
“Farms at any stage of development are welcome. The bulk of the time will be spent in discussions with each other on topics of interest to the group. Farmers are eager and curious to learn from each other! We’ll also have time for lunch and brief updates from Extension on resources available to farmers,” said Sarah Waddle, Extension Educator.
