Regarding: The Arrowhead Cooperative Board’s decision to vote to not shut down the Coal Creek Power Plant

We have asked Arrowhead›s board more than once to respond to the questions and concerns expressed below, but they chose not to answer them. Consequently, whether you are members of the Arrowhead Cooperative or of the general public, after you read the questions below, I ask the reader to contact Arrowhead Cooperative board members directly asking one or more of these very important questions. We all have a right to ask these questions and to express our concerns, and probably a moral responsibility to do so.

Dear board member:

Last June and July when you were discussing and before reaching your decision to vote in favor of keeping the Coal Creek Power Plant running rather than shutting it down did you:

1. Demonstrate ongoing and thorough transparency with Arrowhead Coop members and the general public at large?

2. Request input from Arrowhead Coop members, the general public, and reliable scientific resources?

3. Know that keeping the Coal Creek Power Plant running would significantly contribute to climate change with likely consequences of increasing drought, famine, rising sea levels, wildfires, flooding, and other disasters worldwide including in the United States?

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Gordon R. and Mrs. Michele Mary
Dodge, Schroeder, Minnesota
