Reducing the stigma surrounding mental health

There will be several community presentations and conversations surrounding mental health in the county next week.

One in five adults will experience some form of mental illness. It’s time we start talking about it.

Make it OK is an anti-stigma campaign that provides information and encourages individuals to talk more openly about mental illness. By breaking the silence, we can help our friends, neighbors; loved ones and colleagues feel understood and supported.

The presentations will happen on the following dates and times: Tuesday, July 23 at 2 p.m. in the North Shore Health multi purpose room.

Wednesday, July 24 at 1 p.m. in the Birch Grove Community Center. Friday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gunflint Fire Debt.–Schaap Community Center. And Tuesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. in the North Shore Health multi-purpose room.
