Fans of recycling, we all recycle, right? received some good news this week. Land Services Director Tim Nelson announced that the Cook County Recycling Center was expanding its hours.
The Cook County Recycling Center will be increasing its regular operating hours by opening the facility to the public for dropping off recyclable materials on Saturdays.
This change will be effective on Saturday, February 13. The operating hours for Saturdays will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
“We anticipate that there will be a large turnout for dropping materials off at least over the first few Saturdays, and we ask that you still adhere to the CDC guidelines for the use of the drop off bay, and that if there is a line of cars waiting that you do not block the Fire Hall driveway,” Nelson said.
Recycling Center Hours:
Monday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.,
Tuesday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.,
Wednesday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.,
Thursday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.,
Friday CLOSED,
Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
