Recreational trail design workshop at Sugarloaf

Trails provide a path for walking, hiking, riding, skiing and more. Are your trails holding up to the use they receive? Are they too muddy at times or do they wash out?

Learn what you need to know to design, construct, and maintain sustainable trails for hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, off-highway motorcycling, and all terrain vehicles. Sustainable trails require minimal maintenance because their design and materials hold up to intensive recreational use and severe weather conditions. Mel Baughman, MN Extension Specialist, will teach everything you need to know about trail building in a daylong workshop June 2 at Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center in Schroeder.
