I just read the article regarding the Grand Marais Recreation Park master plan meeting and I just wanted to correct a quote of something I said.
Richard Olson was rambling on about a “mobile home park” which is different from an RV park and campground.
Mobile homes are a dwelling structure built on a steel chassis and fitted with wheels that is intended to be hauled to a usually permanent site.
A recreational vehicle (RV) is a vehicle designed for recreational use (as in camping); especially. (Definition from the Merriam – Webster Dictionary).
The campground is for RVs and tents, not mobile homes. We have a policy on this. I told Richard Olson it wasn’t a mobile home park but that it was an RV park.
Thank you for your time and thank you for being at the meeting.
