Quaife in the Minnesota High School All Star game





Dylan Quaife recently played in the Minnesota High School All Star Football game in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Quaife was the lone representative from the Polar League to play in the game. Players were selected by coaches and came from schools of all sizes and classes.

Cook County High School senior Dylan Quaife was the lone Polar League football conference player in the 39th annual Minnesota High School All Star Football game. After several days of practice held at St. John’s University, the game was played June 30 at Husky stadium on the campus of St. Cloud State University.

The Minnesota Football Coaches Association selected the players. Forty-four seniors represented the North All-Stars, including Dylan, and 44 players represented the South All-Stars.

The All-Star football game showcased outstanding senior players from the 2011 football season. Players and coaches represented 78 schools and 31 conferences participated in this year’s game.

Dylan played wide receiver and defensive back for CCHS this past fall, and also ran back several kickoffs and punts for touchdowns. He was named to the Polar League North first team and received all-conference honors. For the All- Star game Quaife played defensive back. He recorded 3 tackles for the contest, which the South won 33-21.

The North versus South record now stands at 9-9-1.

Quaife will play football for St. John’s University under the guidance of legendary football coach John Gagliardi. Gagliardi will begin his 65th year of coaching. He is the winningest coach in all of college football with more than 480 wins and fewer than 140 losses. Quaife will report for practice on August 9.
